In this beautiful, alphabetical kapitel, Dovid HaMelech pours out his heart in praise of Hashem, promising to thank Him with all his heart in the company of the upright. He sings of Hashem's wondrous deeds, His constant mindfulness of His covenant, and how He provides sustenance to those who fear Him and gave us the heritage of the nations. The kapitel concludes with the foundational truth of our avodah, teaching us that the very beginning of all wisdom is yiras Shamayim, which brings true understanding to all who practice His mitzvos.
הַלְלוּ יָהּ אוֹדֶה יְהוָה בְּכָל־לֵבָב בְּסוֹד יְשָׁרִים וְעֵדָה׃
גְּדֹלִים מַעֲשֵׂי יְהוָה דְּרוּשִׁים לְכָל־חֶפְצֵיהֶם׃
הוֹד־וְהָדָר פָּעֳלוֹ וְצִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד׃
זֵכֶר עָשָׂה לְנִפְלְאֹתָיו חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם יְהוָה׃
