In this heartfelt kapitel, Dovid HaMelech cries out to Hashem with urgency, begging Him to hasten His salvation and rescue him from those who seek his harm. He asks that his enemies be turned back in shame, while those who seek Hashem and love His salvation should rejoice and constantly declare His greatness. Feeling poor and needy, Dovid pleads with Hashem to act quickly, declaring that the Ribbono shel Olam is his only help and deliverer.
לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְדָוִד לְהַזְכִּיר׃
אֱלֹהִים לְהַצִּילֵנִי יְהוָה לְעֶזְרָתִי חוּשָׁה׃
יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיַחְפְּרוּ מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשִׁי יִסֹּגוּ אָחוֹר וְיִכָּלְמוּ חֲפֵצֵי רָעָתִי׃
יָשׁוּבוּ עַל־עֵקֶב בָּשְׁתָּם הָאֹמְרִים הֶאָח הֶאָח׃
יָשִׂישׂוּ וְיִשְׂמְחוּ בְּךָ כָּל־מְבַקְשֶׁיךָ וְיֹאמְרוּ תָמִיד יִגְדַּל אֱלֹהִים אֹהֲבֵי יְשׁוּעָתֶךָ׃
וַאֲנִי עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן אֱלֹהִים חוּשָׁה־לִּי עֶזְרִי וּמְפַלְטִי אַתָּה יְהוָה אַל־תְּאַחַר׃
