In this beautiful Shir HaMa'alos, Dovid HaMelech pours out our collective gratitude to Hashem, crying out that if not for His constant protection, our enemies would have swallowed us alive like a raging, sweeping flood. He compares the Jewish nation to a helpless bird that has miraculously escaped the hunter's trap only because Hashem broke the snare for us. We conclude this kapitel with a powerful declaration of emunah, reminding ourselves that our ultimate help comes solely from Hashem, the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
