In this beautiful Shir HaMa'alot, we are reminded of the powerful protection that comes with pure bitachon, as those who trust in Hashem are compared to the unwavering strength of Har Tzion. Just as mountains surround and shield Yerushalayim, Hashem constantly surrounds and protects His beloved nation from the influence and dominion of the wicked. We plead with Hashem to bestow His goodness upon the upright in heart, and we look forward to the ultimate peace that will rest upon all of Klal Yisrael.
